2002/2003 Comprehensive Plan 

The Lexington We Want, is divided into two documents (below). Part One includes sections on Land Use, Natural & Cultural Resources, Housing, and Economic Development. Part Two includes sections on Transportation.

Other Municipal Plans

Lexington has a series of plans and reports that are required by M.G.L. or the State. These plans and reports are referenced within the 2002/2003 Comprehensive Plan, in addition to Lexington Next. 

Open Space & Recreation

Lexington’s open space and park system is a precious and limited resource that has grown over the years to provide a wide variety of opportunities for local and area residents. This Plan presents open space goals, objectives, and actions that will guide the Town’s open space and recreation philosophy, planning, and management through 2021

Public Facilities Master Plan

Housing Production Plan, 2014

In 2014, the Town of Lexington partnered with MAPC to prepare a housing production plan (HPP) to help the community better understand the local housing need and demand, development constraints and opportunities, and set a vision for future affordable housing
